DuPont™ NOMEX®, the industry leader in flame-resistant (FR) apparel for more than 30 years, now offers DuPont™ NOMEX® Limitedwear, a brand new category of work apparel. NOMEX® Limitedwear delivers the primary flash fire protection of NOMEX® in a limited use garment.
NOMEX® Limitedwear is specifically designed for short-term, limited use and has been certified as compliant with NFPA 2112 guidelines by Underwriters Laboratories. Unlike most FR disposable garments, which need to be worn over other FR apparel, NOMEX® Limitedwear can be worn over regular cotton street clothes, since it offers primary flash fire protection. It is also approximately half the initial cost of FR-treated cotton garments, which significantly reduces the initial investment required to protect contract workers and on-site visitors, as well as the cost of lost garments.
