The Jerome J505 Mercury Vapor Analyzer is a portable fluorescence spectroscopy analyzer. The design is meant to be smaller, more durable, and a lighter weight than other spectroscopy instruments. The J505 can run at a lower flow rate minimizing sample dilution by using the highly efficient optical cell that requires less flow to purge the system. The J505 uses atomic fluorescence to detect mercury which allows there to be no downtown or regenerations needed. The device can detect mercury at levels as low as 0.05 µg/m3, which meets EPA and ATSDR standards for industrial and residential remediation actions as well as OSHA, NIOSH, ACGIH and MSHA action levels. The J505 has a color display and the integrated data logging system can store up to 10,000 test results.
